What Are Stamping Dies?

Stamping dies are used to apply foil or heat transfer decorations onto a product. They are mounted onto the heated head of the hot stamping machine and pressed against the foil and part surface. The die applies both heat and pressure to bond the decorative layer to the product.

The detail and accuracy of the die directly affect the quality of the print. Factors such as line sharpness, edge definition, and pressure distribution must be precisely controlled, particularly for fine detail or multi-level artwork.

Choosing the Right Stamping Die
